Year 2019

8.12. 2019 - Silva Tomanová exhibited kaninchen females at the 3 international dog shows in Nitra. Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz was excellent V1, CAC, res.CACIB in the champion class on 6.12.2019 and her daughter Originelle Prinzess von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAC in the working class. Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz was excellent 1,CAC in the champion class on 7.12.2019. Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAC, res.CACIB in the champion class and her daughter Originelle Prinzess von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAC, CACIB, BOB in the working class on 8.12.2019.

Justinka Tomanová was very successful as well, when exhibiting female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz in juniorhandling she came 2nd of all participants on 7.12.2019.

12.10. 2019 - I took part in the International dog show in České Budějovice. Miniature female Steierische Rose von Sbaritz had her premiere there and was very promising 1 in the puppy class. Kaninchen Originelle Prinzess von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAC, res.CACIB, passed evaluation and became a breeding candidate.

08.09. 2019 - I took part in the bloodtrack trials with the kaninchen female Originelle Prinzess von Sbaritz. She succeeded in the 1st prize and became my 10th dachshund trained and handled at the bloodtrack trials.

07.09. 2019 - Justinka Tomanová took part in the juniorhandling at the National dog show Floracanis in Olomouc. She managed to succeed incredibly with her kaninchen female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz and came 1st of all participants. She showed her skill and sense of showing her dog.

01.09. 2019 - Silvie Tomanová showed the kaninchen female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz on the Regional dog show at Brno. The female was Excellent 1, Class winner, Regional winner and III. BOG.

24.08. 2019 - I took part in the International dog show "Interdog Bohemia 2019" in Mladá Boleslav. I had the opportunity to handle three females from our breeds, one in each size.

Kaninchen female Originelle Prinzess von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAJC, BOJ, BOB and V.BOG in the youth class. She fullfilled the conditions for Junior Champion CZ.

Standard female Mona Lisa von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAC, res.CACIB in the working class. I am very happy for this result, because I was persuaded that she can have better show results if she was better handled.

Miniature female Walking on Sunshine Onyx Moravia was excellent 1, CAC, CACIB, BOS in the intermediate class. I value this result as I managed to succeed in a heavy competition of good quality dachshunds and experienced handlers.

13.07. 2019 - we took part in the national dog show in Mladá Boleslav. Kaninchen female Originelle Prinzess von Sbaritz was evaluated as excellent 1, CAJC and BOB in the junior class. Miniature male Minidogland Tornado was evaluated as excellent 2, res.CAC in the open class. Tornado successfully passed the breed evaluation and became the stud dog.

22.06. 2019 - we took part in the international dog show Intercanis in Brno. Kaninchen female Originelle Prinzess von Sbaritz was excellent 2 in the junior class, miniature male Tornado Minidogland was excellent 1, CAC, res.CACIB in the open class.

We have imported a red miniature male from Russia, Minidogland Tornado, the last year. This male is unique for us by his pedigree, as he is non-relative to the most of the population of the miniature dachshunds in the Czech republic. As for his exterior qualities, I would like to highlight his movement. This male is passionate in hunting and has a unique inborn talent for loudness on the wild animal track, which he proved by passing the aptitude test in the 1st prize with grade 4 in the discipline loudness on the wild animal track.

25.05.2019 - the rabbit female Originelle Prinzess von Sbaritz was showed on Regional Dog Show in Kačina near Kutna Hora. The female was evaluated as Excellent 1, Junior class winner.

22.4.2019 - the puppies from the litter S are 2 weeks old and opened their eyes. More pictures see the page Litter S.

13.04.2019 - I showed the rabbit female Originelle Prinzess von Sbaritz on the International Dog Show at České Budějovice. The female was evaluated as Excellent 1, CAJC and BOJ.

8.4.2019 - miniature female Lili Marleen von Sbaritz today brought her first litter consisting of 6 puppies (1 male and 5 female). All puppies in the red hair color. We expect a promising exterior. The father of the litter is Polish stud dog Ch. Staier's Flipper, imported from Russia.

21.03.2019 - miniature female Ch. Champagne von Sbaritz today brought her first litter consisting of 4 puppiesnes (2 males and 2 female). All puppies in the red hair color. We expect a promising exterior. The father of the litter is Polish stud dog Ch. Staier's Flipper, imported from Russia.

19.3.2019 - red brindle male from the litter P is still available. The male should have very promising exterior and hunting talent.

18.3.2019 - rabbit female Ch Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz today brought a beautiful spring litter consisting of 3 puppiesnes (2 males and 1 female). All puppies in the red hair color. We expect a promising exterior. The father of the litter is Polish stud dog Ch Eley Marmelad iz Kitez Grada.

18.3.2019 - our offspring, standard male M-Brok von Sbaritz, came 3-rd place in the working cup 2018 of Czech Dachshund breeders club among standard smooth-haired dachshunds. I would like to thank Martina and Adam Janošták for the dog presenting on field trials.

17.3.2019 - miniature female Lili Marleen von Sbaritz is expacting her first litter in the first half of April.
The father of the litter is the polish stud dog of Russian origin, Staier's Flipper. The puppies should have the red hair color.

6.3.2019 - the puppies of the litter P are developing well, more photos see the page Litter P. Promissing red brindle boy is still available - only in the good hands.

25.2.2019 - the pregnancy of rabbit female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz, and also the pregnancy of her roommate, the miniature female Champagne von Sbaritz was confirmed. Both females are expecting 3 or 4 puppies.

  The pregnancy of Champagne pleased me very much because the female expects her first puppies. Especially due to unprofessionalism and stupid mating (from stud dog's side) at the last year the female was not pregnant and had to wait for another period, which meant the unnecessary loss of the whole year in her case .
This confirmed my theory, taht a female with longer pauses between periods does not have problem to get pregnant. On the contrary, the longer pause between periods is better because the body of female is not so negative influenced by hormonal deflections.

18.2.2019 - the miniature female CH Clementine von Sbaritz gave birth to a new litter of 5 puppies. For more info visit the page Litter P.

3.2.2019 - our youngest rabit female Originelle Prinzess von Sbaritz was shown at the International Dog Show DUO CACIB at Brno. She was evaluated at puppy class as very promissing 1.

20.1.2019 - there was confirmed the pregnancy of miniature female Clementine von Sbaritz. We are expecting the new litter of miniature Dachshunds at the end of February.

12.1.2019 - Some of our offsprings were exhibited at the National dog show in Brno today and they did great. Miniature female Champagne von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAC in the champion class. Kaninchen female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAC, National winner, BOB in the champion class. This female also fulfilled conditions for the Champion CZ.

Our new kaninchen female, Originelle Prinzess von Sbaritz, had her show premiere at this show as well. She will strenghten our breeding in the future. She is a daughter of kaninchen female Ch. Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz and kaninchen sire Ch. Eley Marmelad iz Kitez Grada. Originelle Prinzess is a great-granddaughter of the founder female of this line.

Year 2018

Four puppies (males) were born from our standard female Beauty on 19.12.2018. One is red and thee are red brindle. You can find more info at the Puppies page.

I accepted the invitation of my friend Jirka Beránek, the owner of the kennel "z Habrového revíru", on 1.12.2018, and took part in the hunt for the wild boar and deer, taken place in Nižbor, in the region of Křivoklát. I had the chance to evaluate the work of the dogs, especially of the female Isabela von Sbaritz. The hunt was successful, there were many pieces of game in the forest (including good stags) and finally enough pieces at the end of the hunt.
There are very few miniature smoothhaired dachshunds used in the hunting nowadays. Because passed trials don't make the dachshund working, only the hunting in the practise. There are a few of them though.

We are expecting a new litter of standard dachshunds in the middle of December. This litter will be realized in the kennel of my wife, Onyx Moravia. Dam of the puppies will be our female Beauty. We have chosen the sire of the litter the German studdog Talismann vom Rehsprung. This male is being used actively in the hunting practice. He has passed the Reaction to gunfire (Schußfestigkeit - Sfk.), Universal trials with the loundness on the track 4 (Vielseitigkeitprüfung - VP), Water Test (Wassertest - WT), Fox Den Trials (BhFK/95) and Natural Fox Den Trials (BhN(F)). The male has an attractive exterior and is a Juniorchampion of Germany, Champion of Germany, WUT Champion and a Working Trials Winner 2016.

On 29.9. and 30.9.2018, the miniature female Champagne von Sbaritz and the rabbit female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz were exhibited at the international dog show in Arad, Romania. Both females succeeded and won the title of Champion of Romania. Female Kirsten Dunst won 2 times the CACIB award. I congratulate and thank to Silva Tomanova for the presentation of the females.

25.9.2018 - The miniature female Isabela von Sbaritz, granddaughter of my working female C.I.B. Dragonlady Wassa Duo, has shown her excellent work skills. Isabella, with his owner and handler, Mr. Jiří Beránek, passed Aptitude test (I.pr.), Test of chasing the game (I.pr.), Fox den test (84 p.), Blood track test (I.pr.), Forest work test (I.pr.), Blood track test for hounds (I.pr.) and especially very difficult Test for hounds (II.pr.) with proven excellent loudness on the track. Isabela acts as a breed female at the Kennel "z Habrového revíru".

Miniature female Lili Marleen von Sbaritz has become a new breed female and in the future will strengthen our breeding.

09.9.2018 - I passed the Blood track trial with the miniature female Lili Marleen von Sbaritz at Švábenice. The female succeeded at 1-st prize and with 4 from blood track.

09.9.2018 - the miniature female Champagne von Sbaritz was shown in the Regional dog show at Brno. She was evaluated as V1, Class winner and Regianal winner. The female together with her young owner were amazingly successful in Juniorhandling here. They came 2nd of all dogs.

18.8.2018 - we have taken part in the international dog show DUODANUBE in Bratislava with our standard female Beauty, she was shown in the working class and became the best female of the breed because was evaluated as excellent 1, CAC, CACIB, BOS and became the best female of the breed. We have taken part in this show because of the judging of the abroad judge, who we didn't expect to have any personal connections to the Czech dachshund breeders and the breeders in the surrounding countries, and we expected his personal detachment in his judging.

5.8.2018 - miniature females from my breeding were exhibited at the Dachshund club show in Jaroměřice. Lili Marleen von Sbaritz was excellent 3 in the intermediate class and Champagne von Sbaritz was excellent 3 in the working class. Lili Marleen was successfully evaluated and became the breeding candidate.

3.8.2018 - This morning St. Hubertus gave me the possibility to hunt a roebuck. The hunting was dramatically during the rut and stalking of roebucks.

3.8.2018 - the puppies from litter A opened their eyes and they are healthy and doing fain. New photos see "Litter O".

8.7.2018 - rabbit female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz gave birth her first litter of three healthy puppies in red colour.

8.7.2018 - standard female Mona Lisa von Sbaritz succesfully passed Fox Den Trial. My congratulation to her owner Bohunka Křižková.

6.7.2018 - standard female Mona Lisa von Sbaritz passed blood track trial in I. prize. My congratulation to her owner Bohunka Křížková.

2.7.2018 - rabbit female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz in the 54-th day of her pregnancy.

23.6.2018 - Also standard offsprings of the litter M are starting to have the first success in the working field.

A red standard male, M-Brock von Sbaritz passed the hunting trial of abilities in the 2nd prize with his leader Adam in Spring (loudness 3) and now Hunting the bushes trial in the 1st prize.

Also Mona Lisa von Sbaritz started training in the fox den with her owner Bohunka.

23.6.2018 - Silvie Tomanová took part in the international show Intercanis in Brno with her female Champagne von Sbaritz with the result excellent 1, CAC, res.CACIB.

16.6.2018 - I took part in the Regional show in Náměšť na Hané with the red miniature female Lili Marleen von Sbaritz. Silvie Tomanová exhibited here her female Champagne von Sbaritz. Lili Marleen was excellent 1, Class winner, Regional winner and female Champagne was excellent 1, Class winner.

Tinka Tomanová was amazingly successful in Juniorhandling here. She came 2nd of all dogs with Chgampagne!

9.6.2018 - Female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz was confirmed pregnant. We are looking forward to the red kaninchen puppies.

8.6.2018 - Sivie Tomanová took part in the International show in Nitra with her female Champagne von Sbaritz. She was excellent 1, CAC, res. CACIB.

16.5.2018 - I decided to sell the young standard female Merci von Sbaritz to Finland after due consideration. Her new owner is a breeder and huntress and she craved for Merci very much.

I believe Merci will be very happy and will live a long and fruitful life in Finland.

09.5.2018 - Red rabbit female, Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz was mated with a red rabbit stud dog, living in neighboring Polen.
If the mating is successful, we can look forward to a litter of red rabbit dachshunds in the first half of July.

30.4.2018 - We participated with our females on the spring evaluation of young hunting dogs at Černá Hora. The standard female Merci von Sbaritz was also successfully evaluated and is without failures.

26.3.2018 - red miniature female Clementine von Sbaritz with her daughter Lili Marleen von Sbaritz act in their family as careful babysitters and supervisors.

25.3.2018 - black and tan Noir Frances von Sbaritz grew up i a rabbit female, that makes her owners happy.

20.2.2018 - The red female from the litter N, Nancy von Sbaritz has matured into a rabbit female with complette dental formula. She gives pleasure to her owner.

23.1.2018 - I used the opportunity of a hunting the Reeves pheasant (Syrmaticus reevesii) in the free hunting ground. The hunt of these inconspicuous but shy birds was not easy at all, like it seemed. I also managed to hunt a rarity hybrid of Reeves pheasant and common pheasant in the end.

13.1.2018 - Silvie Tomanova attended the National dog show in Brno with our offsprings. Kaninchen female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz received the evaluation V1 in the working class. This female was successful evaluated as a breed female end received the evaluaton code 0a/06/5-HLK. Miniature female Champagne von Sbaritz received the evaluation V1, CAC in the working class.
Very clever Justýnka Tomanová succeeded at Juniorhandling and received full 60 points.

Year 2017

07.10.2017 - During the year I helped to prepare the small kaninchen female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz for blood track trial. Her leader, Silvie Tomanová, takes my advice and training methods this year as last year.

Kisten a Silvie took part in the blood track trial held in Štoky, they succeeded in I. prize and occupied the 2-nd place from total 9 participiants. The female proved that the smooth haired kakinchen dachshund can work well and succed during changeable and cold weather also.

22.9.2017 - Silvie Tomanová succeeded with kaninchem female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz on the Moravian-Silesian National Dogshow. The female was evaluated as V1, CAJC, BOJ, BOB and fullfiled the last condition for Juniorchampion CZ.

3.9.2017 - I took part in first common hunt in this years hunting season. The hunt of wild boars.

3.9.2017 - I received some photos of our offspring, female Noir Frances von Sbaritz, that givs pleasure in her new family.

28.8.2017 - Silvie Tomanova succeeded on the Regional Dog Show in Brno with our offsprings. Miniature female Chanel von Sbaritz was evaluated as V1, Regional winner, II. BOG and kaninchen female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz was evaluated as V1, Young class winner and II-nd among all young dogs on the show. Tinka Tomanová succeeded in the juniorhandling also.

27.8.2017 - our offspring, the female Merci von Sbaritz (2,5 months) is growing well and she starts "to taste" the forest. Merci is the first standard dachshund in the bindle hair color born in the Czech Republic and and registred in the Stud book of the Czech Republic. Her mother, Beauty, is the first standard dachshund in the brindle hair color registred in the Stud book of the Czech Republic and she is the first brood female in this hair color in the Czech Republic. Although this hair color is very old and original and goes back to the common ancestors of dachshunds and hannover blood hounds in our country this color is new one. We are the first breeder who started the breeding of standard dachshunds in brindle color in the Czech Republic.

21.8.2017 - Puppies of the litter K were born one year ago. I received some photos of members of this litter. The male Karl von Sbaritz and the female Karen Blixen von Sbaritz.

1.8.2017 - young miniature female Lili Marleen von Sbaritz grows into beauty, like her little human friend.

1.8.2017 - our miniature offspring Champagne von Sbaritz, together with her owner Sivie, succeeded on the Regional Dog Show in Brno-Žebětín. The female was evaluated as V1, Regional winner and II BOG.

Younger kaninchen female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz was showed also and evaluated as V1, Regional young winner.

31.7.2017 - I received beautiful photo of our offspring, miniature male Chartres von Sbaritz, that is in ownership of my friend, big hunters, Martin Štefánik. Chartres lives his satisfied life of a hunting dog.

15.7.2017 - miniature and standard puppies from both litters are one week older again. Current photos see on the Litter N and Litter M.

2.7.2017 - I received the information that our offspring Isabela von Sbaritz became Juniorchampion CZ. My thanks belong to her owner, Mr. Jiri Beranek.

Isabela von Sbaritz succeeded on the National Dog Show. She was evaluated in the intermediate class as V1, CAC.

12.6.2017 - I received informations that our kaninchen offspring Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz succeeded on the Jubilee Dachshund Club Show in Prague. She was evaluated in the young class as V1, CAJC, Jubilee Club Winner and BOJ. The female was successful with her young handler in the competition "child and dog" too.

The female succeeded also the follow day 11.6. on the Dachshund Club Show in Prague. She was evaluated in the young class again as V1, CAJC, Club Winner and BOJ. My thanks belong to her owner, Mrs. Silvie Tomanová, who forms and presents this female.

10.6.2017 - our kaninchen female Edelweiss von Sbaritz born with natural way 4 puppies. There are one male and three females in the litter. The male is red-brindle, one female is red-brindle, one female is red and the last one fenale is black and tan.

8.6.2017 - our standard smoothaired female Beauty born with natural way 3 puppies. There are one male and two females in the litter. One female is red-brindle and the other two siblings are red.

5.6.2017 - I received informations that our miniature offspring Isabela von Sbaritz succeeded on the International Dog Show in Litomerice. She was evaluated in the young class as V1, CAJC, BOJ, BOB. This female participated succesfully in the hunting aptitude test where she won 1st prize and she participated also in the fox den test, where she got full 84 points. My thanks belong to her owner, Mr. Jiri Beranek (kennel z Habroveho reviru), who forms and presents this female.

4.6.2017 - also the term ofkaninchen dachshund litter is coming. The female Edelweiss von Sbaritz is rounding quite well too.

20.5.2017 - I received the photos of kaninchen female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz, that grew up next to her relative Champagne von Sbaritz. Both females live perfect dog life in the family of their owner.

15.5.2017 - there was confirmed the pregnancy of our kaninchen female Edelweiss von Sbaritz, that was mated with the brindle miniature male Sherlock Holmes Onyx Moravia. The male is a stud dog in the neighbouring Slovakia and he comes from kennel of my wife.

15.5.2017 - there was confirmed the pregnancy of our standard female Beauty, that was mated with the red male Preston z Dachu. The male is a sud dog in neighbouring Poland. He has not only an interested pedigree, but he fulfilled all the conditions for the titles C.I.B. and C.I.E. and also for championships VDH and DTK.

8.5.2017 - the only one female from L-litter, Lili Marleen von Sbaritz, could strenghten our kennel in the future.

15.4.2017 - our offspring Isabela von Sbaritz was successful together with her owner Jiří Beránek (kennel z Habrového revíru) at the International dog show in Prague. The female was evaluated in the young class as V1, CAJC, BOJ.

9.4.2017 - we traveled together to the slovak willage Vištuk, where we mated our kaninchen female Edelweiss with a small miniature male. More info comming later.

8.4.2017 - we traveled together to the polish city Poznan, where we mated our standard female Beauty with a red male. More info comming later.

27.3.2017 - miniature female Clementine von Sbaritz gave birth to her thirt litter of 5 healthy puppies. The puppies were born naturally without complications, as usual in our kennel. The litter consists of 4 males and 1 female.

1.3.2017 - I received the photos of little male, Karl von Sbaritz. He already changed his teeth and givs pleasure to his owners.

17.2. 2017 - miniature female Clementine von Sbaritz enjoys her pregnancy, that was confirmed today.

14.2. 2017 - I received a nice photo of red brindle female Karen Blixen von Sbaritz, alias Koh, who lives in the Netherlands.

5.2. 2017 - our offsprings were successful also the second day of the International Dog Show DUOCACIB. Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz was very promissing 1 in the baby class and Champagne von Sbaritz was V1, CAC in the working class.

Big congratulations to Ms. Justina Tomanová who succeeded together with female Champagne in the junior handling. Justina and Champagne won 55 points from 60 possible points.

4.2.2017 - we visited the International Dog Show DUOCACIB held v Brno becouse we wanted to support some our offsprings as spectators. The red brindle male Ussurijský Tygr Onyx Moravia was evaluated in the puppy class as very promissing 1 and red female Kirsten Dunst von Sbaritz was evaluated in the baby class as very promissing 1.

Also the miniature female Champagne von Sbaritz was successful, she triumphed over copetition of other two females in the working class and was evaluated as V1, CAC.

3.2.2017 - I was invited by a friend to last common hunt of wild boar in the hunting season 2016-2017.

The hunt was successful, game was found in both parts of hunt and there were hunted 20 pieces of wild boar .

28.1.2017 - the miniature female, Clementine von Sbaritz, was mated with the miniature stud dog C.I.B. I-Yaromir Zimerbude from the kennel Gapro Bohemia on Monday 23.1. It is the third repetition of previous two matings of both parents.

24.1.2017 - I received pictures of miniature male Justy von Sbaritz. This dog fulfills successfully the function of a family friend and companion. I would like to thank the Kubeš family for their perfect care about him.

7.1.2017 - Our miniatuare offspring, Champagne von Sbaritz, participated with her owner in the National Dog Show in Brno too. Champagne, alias Chanel, was excellent 1, CAC in the working class.

Champagne fulfilled the last condition for Czech Champion.

I hurt my knee ligaments during the Autumn fishing and had to miss a few common hunts thanks to this injury. I decided to set for the hunt only now. I accepted an invitation from my friend, Martin Štefánik, and took part in the hunt in Slovakia. The Carpathian hunting has its own charm, the fields are large and the buck runs out often. It was not different this time, when two stags ran next to me.

Our Slovakian host as well as my own hunter did gret jobs. The mood was perfect.

I aimed at the fox in both fields and almost got them. Unfortunatelly the neighbor hunters were quicker than me, but non of them hit the fox in the end.

Miniature male Chartres von Sbaritz, alias Daro, is being used by his owner for hunting. He was successful in tracking 4 pieces of bucks and 1 piece of wild boar.

I received a few photos of my offspring male Karl von Sbaritz some time ago. He is developing well and lives in the garden of his owner.

20.11.2016 - our offspring, the female Jenny von Sbaritz visited us together with her owners. Jenny is a rabbit female and resembles her older sister Edelweiss. I would like to thank Mička family for their taking care of the female.

We managed to fulfil the breeding conditions with our female Beauty. Beauty is an import from Croatia and she is at the same time the first brood red brindle standard dachshund who is registered in the Stud book of Czech Republic. The fulfilling the breeding conditions with her happened 10 years after my first standard smooth haired male Brok z Kosovské samoty became a stud dog.

Unfortunatelly the breeding of dogs is not allways about nice things. I had to end the serious health issues of my brood female Agnetha Obsidian Bohemia.

2.11.2016 - I received pleasing information, that also female Katharina von Sbaritz is getting to know the smell and shape of wild boars. I would like to thank Mr. Staněk fot his taking care of the female.

2.11.2016 - Isabela von Sbaritz, aka Beli, took part together with her owner Jiří Beránek (Kennel z Habrového revíru) on the International Dog Show in Prague on Saturday 29.10. The miniature female was evaluated in the young class as Excellent 1. The female is also developt by her owner during joint hungings.

30.10.2016 - Champagne von Sbaritz, aka Chanel, took part together with her owner Silvie Tomanová on the International Dog Show in Prague on Saturday 29.10. The miniature female was evaluated in the working class as Excellent 1, CAC, res.CACIB. The female was evaluated in the working class as Excellent1, CAC also on Sunday 30.10., the second day of Show.

19.10.2016 - the last female from the litter K went to her new home yesterday. The female will will make pleasure in the family of professional hunter.

18.10.2016 - my Slovakian friend, Mgr. Martin Štefánik, took part with his miniature dog Chartres von Sbaritz, aka Daro, in blood track for hounds. The dog succeeded in the I. prize, with disciplines "track of boars" and "behaviour at boar" with grade 4. The dog was praised for his excellent work on the track and his persistant barking at the hunted boar. I would like to thank to Martin for his care and hunting training of this miniature dog.

11.10.2016 - the miniature female Isabela von Sbaritz, alias Beli, took part in her first dog show. She was evaluated in the young class as Excellent 1, CAJC in the National Dog Show in České Budějovice. I would like to thank to Mr. Jiří Beránek (owner of kennel z Habrového revíru) for good presentation of this female.

9.10.2016 - Today, I was succesful during the ongoing fallow deer rut and I managed to hunt a good fallow deer.

24.9.2016 - there visited us two our offsprings, brothers from various litters, dogs Erich a Joli von Sbaritz. Both brothers are in the top fitness. I would like to thank to Mr. Ondrejka and his girlfriend for their exemplary care for both boys.

24.9.2016 - miniature female Champagne von Sbaritz, alias Chanel, took part in Moravian-Silesian National Dog Show today morning. The female was evaluated as Excellent 2 in the interediate class. Afterwards the female took part also in breeding evaluation, obtained the breeding code 2a/H6L/5-HLT and fullfiled the last condition fo becoming the brood bitch.

I could see another offspring of my kennel, the female Jenny von Sbaritz. This rabbit female successfully exchanged her teeth and has excellent hair quality. Her owners wanted to habituate her on environment of dog show.

4.9.2016 - Miniature offspring, female Champagne von Sbaritz, alias Chanel, passed the blood track trials in the 1st prize. Blood track with grade 4.

28.8.2016 - we took part the XV. Regional dog show in Brno today, where our standard female Beauty was evaluated as Excellent 1, Class winner, Regional winner and BOG.

25.8.2016 - Champagne von Sbaritz, alias Chanel at the age of 15 months with little Linda at the age of 12 months.

21.8.2016 - Edelweiss von Sbaritz gave birth to her first litter today. The puppies were born naturally without complications, as usual. The litter consists of 1 male and 3 females in the red colour.

30.7.2016 - Champagne von Sbaritz, alias Chanel, was excellent 1, junior class winner at the Regional show in Brno Žebětín.

18.7.2016 - Kaninchen female Edelweiss von Sbaritz was confirmed to be pregnant and if everything goes well, the new litter will be born in our kennel in late August.

We set for the journey to the distant Luxembourg in late June, where we mated the kaninchen female Edelweiss von Sbaritz with miniature male Triumphator iz Mishkinogo Doma. This male imported from Russia is in the ownership of our friend Carole Pleimling, who I thank for enabling of the mating.

25.6.2016 - I managed to shoot down a roe deer in the early morning today. Straight chamber shoot when the roe deer was shot on the spot.

18.6.2016 - We have taken part in the international show Intercanis in Brno. Our standard female Beauty was excellent 1, CAC, CACIB, BOS. Two daughters of my female Agnetha Obsidian Bohemia have been shown. Our kaninchen female Edelweiss von Sbaritz was excellent 1 and miniature Champagne von Sbaritz was excellent 2.

9.5.2015 - Isabela von Sbaritz - stack position training

30.4.2016 - I have taken part in the aptitude test with our female Beauty in Kozlany by Vyškov. The weather was nice and we met some hare. Beauty succeeded in the 1st prize with the result 4 from disciplines loudness and nose. The background of the trials was outstanding which made me come to conclusion that cynology in the Vyškov region is perfectly organised.

25.4.2016 - Female Isabela von Sbaritz, alias Beli, got used to her new pack and enjoys her new posibilities

10.4.2016 - We have taken part in the Trials of loudness on the track and behaviour after shooting that is being held by the Czech dachshund breeders club with Beauty. These trials were held in a cold and rainy weather in the field with enough amount of hares near Olomouc. Beauty came in the 2nd prize with the result 3 from loudness and fullfilled the last condition for breeding.

21.2.2016 - We have visited our good friends, the Hastík family, and checked the puppies of the litter I. All puppies are healthy and in a good condition. I would like to thank Iveta and Jarek Hastík for the perfect care not only of the puppies but also of Clementine.

18.2.2016 - I got a message from the owners of male Dolfi von Sbaritz, Mr. and Mrs. Kaňka. This male lives in the family of the huntsman not only as a family member, but also helps with the hunting - digged out the puppy fox or tracked the roe buck.

16.1.2016 - We decided to take part in the New Year Show in Nitra, Slovakia. Our crew was very successfull this time as our female did great. Our standard female Beauty was excellent 1, CAC and res.CACIB and our kaninchen female Edelweiss von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAC, CACIB and BOB. Both our females fulfilled the last condition for Champion SK. Also the third member, Gabriela Fellingerová, was successfull, as her miniature female Spice Girl Onyx Moravia was excellent 1, CAC, CACIB and BOS.

12.1.2016 - As the female Agnetha is very temperament and healthy at her age, I decided to make an exception and mate her for the very last time with Pannoniadachs Enzo. The mating went very quickly and without any problems.

7.12.2015 - The pregnancy of Clementine von Sbaritz, who is expecting her second litter, was confirmed. This female was mated on 9.11.2015 with sire C.I.B. I-Yaromir Zimerbude. I would like to thank to Iveta and Jarek Hastík for the perfect care of the female and Mrs. Procházková for her helpfulness by the mating.

29.11.2015 - Our female Beauty was excellent 1, CAC, res.CACIB at the international show SLOVAKIA CUP in Nitra.

28.11.2015 - Today's common hunting for wild boar and vermin in Meziříčko was successfull. About 40 pieces of wild boar managed to escape in the first part without being harmed. We met this herd in the last part and we were more successfull this time. The weather was nice, the mood was friendly and the hunt was successfull in the end.

21.11.2015 - I accepted an invitation from a great man and hunter, Martin Štefánik from Trenčianská Teplá, SK and took part in the common hunt for wild boar and foxes. The experience from this hunt was absolutely amazing. The dogs did their job perfectly and pushed not only wild boar, foxes and moufflons but also the king of the forest - a red deer.

31.10.2015 - common hunting for wild boar in Bukovice. The hunting consisting of two parts was acompanied by a lovely weather and a good mood. The game was in the forrest and at the end of the hunt too.

I have taken part in the common hunting for wild boar and vermin with my female Dragonlady Wassa Duo in the district of my friend today. Although the wild boar and the fox escaped without any harm, the strolling through the autumn forest was amazing. Local territory abounds with plenty of roe deer and it was worth watching.

24.10.2015 - Our female Beauty was excellent 1, CAJC, Junior BOB and fullfilled the conditions for Juniorchampion SK and WUT.

3.10.2015 - We have taken part in the Memorial of Miloš Doubek with our kaninchen fenale Edelweiss von Sbaritz , held in Černá Hora. The memorial consists of the Tracking trials for hounds and our female, as the smallest dog, succeeded in the 2nd prize. Disciplines handling on the leash, down (free), obedience and mainly track were judged with the grade 4. Only behaviour toward the game was 2, which moved us to the 2nd prize.

19.9.2015 - Our female Beauty was excellent 1, CAJC, BOJ and BOB at the national show in Brno and became the candidate for breeding.

12.9.2015 - I have passed the fox den exam with our Croatian female Beauty today with the total amount of points 75.

11.9.2015 - 4 puppies (2 red brindle and 2 red) were born from the female in my co-ownership Que Sera Sera Onyx Moravia in the kennel of my wife.

6.9.2015 – Even in this year, I took part in a blood track test. Because of various reasons, I brought for this blood track test with me our favorite "blood track female" Lucy in the Sky Onyx Moravia. We passed all obedience disciplines without leash and at the full amount of pounts. The good luck abandoned us on the track, because several roes crossed our blood track directly in front of us, that were pushed out of the bush by other dog leaders and so we ended up in the second prize.

23.8.2015 - Our female Beauty was excellent 1, CAJC, Junior BOB, BOS at the international show DUODANUBE in Bratislava.

15.8.2015 – For some time, I wanted visit the rabbit den test in Poland or participate in such a test. Therefore, we hit the road to Polish Biskupin, where is an area for hunting dogs with training dens for rabbits and foxes. Thanks to the assistance from Lenka Fairaislová we organized our accommodation right in the area for hunting dogs and entered our Dachshund females in the regional working trials for the rabbit and fox den. After some exercises our females were ultimately very successful in Poland.

Our rabbit dachshund female Edelweiss von Sbaritz von Sbaritz acquired the full number of points and showed the expell of the rabbit out of the hole during the period of 17 seconds. With such power she demonstrated her aptitudes for work in the rabbit den that already demonstrated their Polish rabbit ancestors. Edelweiss came third in the trial for rabbit dachshund.

Heroic performance showed also the miniature Dachshund female of my wife, Lucy in the Sky Onyx Moravia, who acquired full number of points and demonstrated the expell of the fox out of the hole during the period of 44 seconds. The female was the only miniature dachshund in fox den trial and by their performance she has ashamed many Dachshunds of standard size. Lucy also came third in the trial.

The rabbit den is equipped with one kettle to that the rabbit dachshunds must first come through narrow tube with one downgrade. The rabbit is locked in the kettle and the dachshund must first bark constantly 2 minutes in front of the slide. It is applied here great value to the loudness in the hole. Thereafter, the dachshund is taken from the hole by its leader, gets a muzzle and so it is allowed to enter back into the den. When the Dachshund comes back to the kettle, both slides are opened and it is to measure the time that is needed for the expelling of the rabbit out of the den. The rabbit den has one entrance and two exits. The dachshund has to expel the rabbit out of the den and leave out of the same exit. If the dachshund expels the rabbit, but leaves the den with the other exit, loses important points. The rabbit den in Poland has some hindrances, especially there are really narrow tubes (10 cm), which are still bended and are still equipped with another narrow places. The work in such a small space is managed only by real rabbit dachshunds or by smaller miniature Dachshunds with enormous passion. I wanted to check the limits of the rabbit hole and so I let my smaller miniature Dachshund female Agnetha Obsidian Bohemia work here (chest 32 cm, weight 4,0 kg). Agnetha arrived to the kettle, barked there, then she was not able to pass the narrow points and the curve at the end of the hole. The limit was not caused by her chest, but the back of her legs. It may be related also to the movement manner in the den.

The fox den in Biskupin differs moderately from the fox dens in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. The tubes are at somewhat greater, the hole has a rounded shape of the U-letter and the downgrades are in other parts of the hole. The fox den also has many hindrances, above all, the chimney is deeper and the end of the hole has a different shape, where the dachshund must reverse and expell the fox. Biting the fox is not very appreciated in Poland, but the expelling of the fox out from the den is very good value. The work in the fox den consists of more parts. The Dachshund comes to the first kettle and here it must bark persistently 1 minute. Then the fox is driven into the second kettle and if it is already closed in the second kettle, all slides between dog and fox are open. The dachshund should press the fox with its pressure and constant barking to the third kettle and invert following and drive them out of the den. The fox is closed again during the return phase in the first kettle and then driven out of the den into the prepared cage. The slide is opened after that and the Dachshund must come out to the fox out of the den. The time is measured from the opening of the slide between the dog and the fox to closing of the fox in the first kettle.

I would like to praise the unique organization of the trials. On the contrary to many other similar events in the Czech Republic, where you can see really long meetings of judges, delays, breaks and endless waiting for the announcement of the results, we experienced something different in Poland, especially speed, efforts to cadency of process and elimination of delays. And also here were transports in the hunting ground, where were checked the obedience disciplines. The obedience disciplines are the part of all trials. Hereby I would like to thank the icon of the Polish Hunting cynology, Lezsek Siejkowski.

2.8.2015 - our standard female Beauty took part in the Special dachshund show in Jevíčko. She was excellent 2 in a big competition of 8 young females.

30.7.2015 - I managed to shoot down a roe deer in the middle of the rutting season, it was a really beautiful hunting experience.

6.7.2015 - The last puppy of the litter CH is leaving for his new home this week, so he enjoys his last days here running through our den

27.6.2015 - Our female Beauty was excellent 2 (out of 5 females) at the international show Intercanis Brno in the Youthclass.

17.6.2015 - Thanks to our friend Iveta Hastíková we have received photos of females of the litter H who have grown into beautiful dachshunds who take after their mother Clementine von Sbaritz and their grandmother Dragonlady Wassa Duo.

7.6.2015 - We have taken part in the international show in Nitra, SK. Our dachshunds were successfull as well. Kaninchen Edelweiss von Sbaritz, was excellent 1, CAC and res.CACIB in the working class, standard Beauty was excellent 2 in the youthclass.

Lately we can meet a new phenomenon at the international shows which are handlers and handlers maphia. Many breeders and dog owners don't show their dogs themselves anymore, but hire and pay professional and semi-professional handlers. Handlers make use of the opportunity in market and weakness of the dogs owners for their pets. They are mainly people of the well known faces using their connections and often not loathing to make their deal with the judge. Kind of title corresponds with the value of their reward I guess. I suppose that their influence can also cause an unexpected change of the judge at the show. Common exhibitor has absolutely no chance, even though the handler would show a three-legged camel instead of the dog. I am personally quite curious, where this all will lead in future.

6.6.2015 - We have taken part in the international show in Nitra, SK. Our dachshunds were very successfull. Kaninchen Edelweiss von Sbaritz, was excellent 1, CAC, CACIB, BOB and Grand Prix Slovakia Winner 2015 in the working class, standard Beauty was excellent 1, CAJC a BOS a Grand Prix Slovakia Junior Winner 2015.

7.5.2015 - My female Agnetha Obsidian Bohemia gave birth to her third and last litter. As in her two previous births, the puppies are healthy and were born in a natural way. There are 3 red males and 1 red girl in the litter.

3.4.2015 - Pregnancy of my female Agnetha Obsidian Bohemia was confirmed today.

15.3.2015 - our standard smoothhaired dachshund female Beauty took part in the spring evaluation of the hunting dogs that was held at the end of the meeting of the South Moravian branch of the Czech dachshund breeders club. Beauty got the evaluation: Type: typical, Coloration: multi-coloured, Strength of body: medium, Teeth: complete, Bite: correct, Quality of hair: standard, Character: peaceful, Eye colour: dark, Ears: normal, Nose: normal.

5.3.2015 - My female Agnetha Obsidian Bohemia was mated today. There is a plan for a litter of red mini dachshund puppies.

8.2.2015 - we have taken part in the second day of DUOCACIB shows in Brno with the two of our females.
Our standard female Beauty was very promising 1 in the puppy class and our kaninchen female Que Sera Sera Onyx Moravia excellent 1, CAC, CACIB and BOB in the working class and has fullfilled conditions for obtaining the title Champion CZ.

7.2.2015 - our standard female Beauty took part in her very first show. She was very promising 1 in the baby class at the international show in Brno.

27.1.2015 - After fullfilling all conditions, Edelweiss von Sbaritz was confirmed WUT Junior Champion.

11.01.2015 - Our new standard female Beauty (age 5 months) is developing and changing her teeth well

03.01.2015 - We have taken part in the National show in Brno today where our kaninchen female Edelweiss von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAC, National winner and BOB in the working class. She has also fullfilled the conditions for Champion CZ.

The female was also evaluated as a brood bitch with code 1b/5-HLK, chest 30 cm, 3,40 kg.

20.12.2014 - I took part in the successful hunt for wild boar in Deštná. The weather was great, atmosphere was friendly and the wild boar was in the forest and at the hunt's end.

30.11.2014 - I have closed this years cynological season at the international show in Nitra. Edelweiss von Sbaritz was excellent 2, res.CAC, res.CACIB.

29.11.2014 - I took part in the hunting in Meziříčko by Letovice that was combined with the hunt for tiny wild animals.

28.11.2014 - We have imported a standard smoothhaired female in the red brindle colour named Beauty the last weekend. She is the very first standard dachshund in this coloour registered in CZ. She comes from Croatia and you can find more info in the Females section.

28.10.2014 - I have taken part in the common hunting for wild boar and vermin with my female Dragonlady Wassa Duo in the district of my friend today. 24.10.2014 - We have showed our offsprings at the National dog show held by the European dog show today. The judge appreciated the typical size of a kaninchen dachshund and Edelweiss von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAC in the intermediate class.

23.10.2014 - We have taken part in the European dog show in Brno today. Our offsprings haven't got lost even in the heavy abroad competition. Although the judge prefered more massive and stronger types, Edelweiss von Sbaritz was awarded excellent 4 in the intermediate class.

4.10.2014 - Clementine von Sbaritz gave birth to 5 healthy red puppies in her first litter today - 1 male and 4 females. The birth was without any complications and in a natural way. I want to thank Iveta and Jarek Hastíks for their effort and perfect care about this female

29.9.2014 - Thanks to some positive circumstances I had a chance to spend a few days in the Eastern Slovakia in the Volovské hills, that are part of the Slovak Ore mountains. Volovské hills are overgrown by a thick forest so called "Carpathian blend", which is mixed forest of beech, fir, maple and sometimes spruce and ash trees. Local landscape is breathtaking interlaced with many springs and it is possible to admire not only the Carpathian flora, but also meet some rare representatives of fauna, such as wolf, lynx, wild cat, golden eagle, salamander, etc. My stay was related with hunt and rutting season of red deer, because they are the most plentiful cloven-hoofed game. The hunting was very exhausting, because there were plenty of many kilometers snoop walkings in the early and late hours in a very hard ground, when it is necessary to keep the most quiet. Yet still, to welcome the day not noticed at the very peak in the middle of low light of the morning mountain forest among the roaring majestic Carpathian red deer, I consider one of the most beautiful life experience. Also grace of St. Hubertus hasn't left me and I managed to hunt and kill a red deer with a very interesting trophy.

7.9.2014 - Even in this busy year I found some time for the dogs' training. This effort paid well, because our kaninchen female Edelweiss von Sbaritz passed the bloodtrack trials successfully. We were pleased by her performance, because she has passed the trials in the 1st prize with 74 points.

6.9.2014 - Dominik von Sbaritz with his owner Ing. Stanislav Peša passed the fox den trials today. This small miniature male coming from my breed showed his talent for work under the ground because he has received mark 4 from disciplines good-will, loudness and persistance and mark 3 from the speed discipline. I watched the course of the trials myself. I most value his great loudness in the den, his persistancy and also his well-ballanced character.

5.9.2014 - I have received new photos of the puppies of the litter F today. Both males are growing very nice and doing fine. I thank their owners for the perfect care.

6.8.2014 - female Clementine von Sbaritz was mated with I-Yaromir Zimerbude today.

5.8.2014 - Not far from our home lies the small town of Kunštát. You can find a very interesting cynological historical sight of the european meaning near the castle. It is one of the first dog cemeteries in Europe and probably the very first dog cemetery in Bohemian region. This cemetery was founded by Cuno von Honrichs in the 19th century. This last offspring of the barons von Honrichs und Wolfswarffen, unmarried and childless himself, loved hunting and his dogs. His Lux was indisputably one of the first smoothhaired dachshunds in our region.

4.8.2014 - After the series of not successfull stand and walk hunts, I managed to chatch a 7 years old roebuck. I shot this roebuck on the distance of about 130 meters and it had not a smooth course at all.

3.8.2014 - Our female Edelweiss von Sbaritz managed to succeed at the Dachshunds club show in Jevíčko today, she was excellent 1, CAJC and BOJ. Although the judging was very prolonged, the title Junior Clubwinner had been somehow forgotten.

30.7.2014 - at the turn of the year 2013 I started to think about building a small training den in our garden to help our smoothhaired dachshund from our breeds to develop their talent for work below the ground. I intended our youngest dachshunds to have a place for mustering their courage, learning to move in the narrow place under the ground and starting to bark there. Now I have finished the training den, which comprises from one den for the standard and miniature dachshunds and the other especially for the kaninechen ones.

21.7.2014 - we offer the last red puppy boy from litter G for sale. We expect an excellent exterior.

19.7.2014 - our youngest kaninchen female Edelweiss von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAJC, BOJ and BOB at the national show in Mladá Boleslav today.

26.6.2014 - Borussia von Sbaritz gave birth without any complications to 4 healthy puppies. They are 1 male and 3 females in the clear red coat colour. More info at the litter G page.

21.6.2014 - Edelweiss von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAJC, BOJ and BOB at the International show Intercanis in Brno.

2.6.2014 - We have taken part in the double CACIB shows with our dogs in Nitra, SK the last weekend.
On Saturday 31.5., Edelweiss von Sbaritz was very good 1 and Que Sera Sera Onyx Moravia good. The judge Fintorová and her advisor haven't give any title in the miniature and kaninchen dachshund breeds, on the contrary, they haven't spare their criticism in both breeds.

On Sunday 1.6., everything turned over and Edelweiss von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAJC, BOJ, BOB and Derby Winner 2014 and Que Sera Sera Onyx Moravia excellent 1, CAC and res.CACIB.

26.4.2014 - Borussia von Sbaritz was mated with Pannoniadachs Enzo today. I suppose, that the puppies from these parents could have a clear red coat colour, that I delight so much.

13.4.2014 - I made a journey to the South Bohemia, where I let my female Dragonlady Wassa Duo mated by a nice red male. This mating awoke the right spring mood in my breeding and that's why I hope that the female gets pregnant.

12.4.2014 - Even now, when it is not necessary and conditional for the dachshunds to be able to take part at the exams, I still consider the spring evaluation of young hunting dogs to be right and important. In my opinion this event inseparably belongs to the hunting cynology where the owner presents his dog and the breeder promotes his breed and breeding effort in front of the huntsmen and hunting dog breeders in his region.
That's why our kaninchen female Edelweiss von Sbaritz took part in the spring evaluation of the hunting dogs that was held by the Regional huntsmen alliance in Černá Hora. The female was nicely appreciated and got the evaluation: Type - typical, Coloration - one-coloured, Strength of body: middle, Teeth: complete, Bite: correct, Quality of hair: standard, Character: peaceful, Chest: 30 cm, Eye colour: dark, Ears: normal, Nose: normal.

13.3.2014 - As Clementine von Sbaritz got CAC title at the international show, she has fullfilled the last condition for Champion CZ. This female has participated 7 shows and was always excellent. Her exterior was also awarded by obtaining 1× CACIB, 1× BOB and 1× National winner. She is also excellent in her hunting talent, especially loudness on the ground, loudness in the fox den and readiness for work in the fox den.

23.2.2014 - Three offsprings were exhibited at the Duocacib international show in Brno on Sunday. The youngest kaninchen female Edelweiss von Sbaritz was very promising in the puppy class and got a very nice judgement. The miniature male Dominik von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAC in the working class. Miniature female Clementine von Sbaritz was excellent 1 CAC and CACIB, which I value very much, because a few good quality females from good kennels were shown at the show

22.2.2014 - Three offsprings were exhibited at the Duocacib international show in Brno on Saturday. Our youngest kaninchen female Edelweiss von Sbaritz was very promising in the puppy class and got a really nice judgement. Dominik von Sbaritz met a very strong Russian competitor in the working class and was excellent 2, res.CAC. Miniature female Clementine von Sbaritz was shown in the working class and decided that she is not going to show her teeth to the Austrian judge, so it was necessary to resign.

16.1.2014 - Grandgables Onyx Obsession, one of the dogs on my wife's kennel. I fancy this miniature dog very much for his very kind, friendly, easy-going and gently attentive character. This noble and atletic import from Canada mated many females in his life, among them several exterior and pedigree below-average ones and he was supposed to improve them. Offsprings from these ones often unfairly damaged his reputation. But he is also a sire of many very successful offsprings abroad and here and one of them is primarily my work-tallented C.I.B. Dragonlady Wassa Duo.

16.1.2014 - A red miniature male from my breeding, Dominik von Sbaritz alias Bari, became a studdog at the beginning of this year. I congratulate to this success with this young male to their owners Stanislav Peša and Mrs. Odrazilová

11.1.2014 - The females section was updated today - our youngest female Edelweiss von Sbaritz was added.
Although both of her parents are miniatures, "Edie's" chest is 28 cm and weight 2,80 kg at the age of 6 months, so we suppose she will remain kaninchen

30.11.2013 - We took part in the international show Duonitradog in Nitra at the end of the cynological season. Our kaninchen female Que Sera Sera Onyx Moravia got excellent 1, CAC, res.CACIB in the working class. Our youngest kaninchen hope, female Edelweiss von Sbaritz, was exhibited for the first time in the puppy class, got very promising and was very praised from the hungarian judge Jakkel Tamás.

23.11.2013 - As I couldn't take part in several hunts in a few last weeks, I set out fishing this morning. St. Peter granted me the catch of several predatory fish in the beautiful bay of Křetínka dam.

2.11.2013 - today's fishing at the Křetínka dam was successful, because St. Peter granted me the catch of almost 40 cm long perch (Perca fluviatilis).

I have taken part in the hunt for the wild boars with my female Dragonlady at my friend's place in Bukovice today. Although we haven't shoot down anything, the autumn strolling through the forest was beautiful.

I have taken part in the Dachshund club show in Prague. I had the opportunity to show the miniature female from my breeding, Clementine von Sbaritz, who was excellent 1, CAC in the working class.
My wife has shown our kaninchen female Que Sera Sera here, who was excellent 1, CAJC, Youth Club winner and BOJ in the youth class.

I made use of today's sunny autumn day and the rutting season of fallow deer. While walking slowly in a beautiful, 115 years old beech wood, where everything not only looks, but also smells and sounds like in the temple, I managed to find a herd of fallow deer with their babies. I was observing the herd for some time and admired the colour variability of them. I managed to shoot down one of the fallow deers with an exact shoot through the heart. It was about 4-5 years old buck with a very interesting trophy.

As we weren't much satisfied with the result of our female Que Sera Sera Onyx Moravia on the last bloodtrack trials, that were caused by the exaggerated demands and maybe not correct judgement of the smallest hunting breed, we took part in another bloodtrack trials in Štoky. No all the judges are erudite enough to judge the 3,5 kg kaninchen dachshund correctly and they are often compared with the performance of the 9 kg weighing dachshunds or even bigger hounds. The results of our female (hunting 4, bloodtrack 3) has confirmed not only her hunting talent, but also the correctness of our training methods.

My this year's cynological season culminated by taking part and leading two of my offsprings at the bloodtrack trials. I managed to find a little bit of time for training the hunting dogs and trying some of my ideas also this year. In my opinion, the bloodtrack trials were judged very consistent and strict this time!

Thanks to successful passing the bloodtrack trials, female Borussia von Sbaritz fullfilled the last breeding condition. Although I don't own this female, she comes from my breeding and I was pleased to train her for the trials. She has spent a few months with me and I had the chance to know her character and talent for working on the ground. She is very movable thanks to her correct height and she noses around very well and far. She is passionate enough and has a lust for searching the game, that's why she perfectly hunts through the bushes. As she is not very "tough", it was not a problem to teach her the obedience disciplines such as down, following, handling on the leash, etc. She was bloodracking soon quite exactly and without useless mistakes. She made only one mistake at the trials, yet the judges gave her performance number 2 and explained she was not working very exactly. I am convinced, that she was bloodtracking under the wind and very precise and slowly. I don't think it would be a problem to show this female at the other types of trials on the ground. Unfortunatelly I didn't get to train her in the fox den.

I took part at the qiute short training of male Dorian von Sbaritz for the bloodtrack trials. As he is a very young dog who is not matured enough and still very playfull, his training could have been longer. But this male showed a very good nose during the training. He was bloodtracking without mistakes or with the one mistake only. The only mistake happened him at the trials as well, but the judges gave him performance number 2 with the explanation that I haven't showed the base. Only this moved him into 2nd prize. But this dog still obtained the hunting usability for bloodtracking the shot down or wounded game and he will become great help by the game management.

Also the kaninchen female of my wife Que Sera Sera Onyx Moravia, who is in my co-ownership, succeeded to pass the bloodtrack trials. We value her resistance and passion, shown especially by hunting from the bushes which this female performs stable since her puppyhood.

22.9.2013 - I managed to shoot down a fallow deer with a strong trophy in the beautiful forested countryside of the Bohemian-Moravian Highland this afternoon.

22.9.2013 - Dominik von Sbaritz, called Bari, took part in the bloodtrack trials with his leader Ing. Peša.
Although he is a very young and unmatured dog, who will celebrate his 1st birthday on 24.9.2013, he succeeded in the 2nd price with the amount of 100 points

We have taken part in the Special dachshund show in Jevíčko, where I had the chance to show myself the three of my miniature offsprings. Despite the burning swelter and a very strict judge who didn't spare his critics, they were: Dominik von Sbaritz - excellent, CAJC, Best of Juniors, Borussia von Sbaritz - very good and Clementine von Sbaritz - excellent, CAC.

1.8.2013 - I succeeded to catch an interesting trophy in a quite dramatic hunt connected with a multiple shooting at about 8 PM.
It was a 5-years old roebuck with a beautiful trophy that was just in the middle of its rut.

My son Frantisek has taken part in his first cynological event on 29.6.2013 - internatinal show Intercanis in Brno. The polish judge liked my offsprings a bit less. Dominik von Sbaritz was VG2 and Clementine von Sbaritz Exc2, res.CAC.

Male Dorian von Sbaritz unfortunatelly to my sadness didn't change his teeth correctly and that's why he cannot be used as a stud dog in the Czech republic.

15.6.2013 I caught a roebuck on a hide waiting in the military space Březina at about 6:15. This success was foregone by many waitings in vain accompanied by various experience from watching the nature.

8.6.2013 Clementine von Sbaritz succesfully passed the fox den trials with the amount of 75 points and fulfilled all the breeding conditions. Disciplines readiness to work, loudness and persistance were judged as "4", only speed as "1".

3.6.2013 - Diana von Sbaritz alias Dax grew up from a puppy into a promising young female in Slovenia

1.6.2013 - I succeeded to catch about a 3-years old roebuck with an interesting and unusual trophy. Shooting this roebuck was on a distance of about 140 meters.

25.5.2013 - we had a visitor - red male from the D litter. Dominik von Sbaritz is 8 months old now and is full-teethed, small miniature dog (chest 32 cm, weight 4,25 kg), who is starting to show his hunting talent already. His parents are Interchampions C.I.E. Grandgables Wee Brush Strokes and C.I.B. Dragonlady Wassa Duo.

As I was strolling through the forrest in the afternoon hours, my eyes caught a glimpse of a small roe deer baby, that was hiding in the grass and was almost blended with the surroundings. As its mother must have been somewhere close, I took a picture of the baby and left quickly. Although I've been spending much time in the forrests since my childhood, meeting so young roe deer is a rarity for me.

This year's beginning of the fishing season was a success. The first short visit of the Svitava 5A grounds brought several catches.
I caught 9 breams (Abramis brama), 1 carp (Cyprinus carpio) and 2 tenches (Tinca tinca). I used meat worms as a bait and a blend of Boland comp. as a lure. I chose Feeder as a fishing technique.

Dorian von Sbaritz in the age of 5,5 months, 31 cm, 3,8 kg. From his sire's side, he is a direct descendant of the unique red brindle male dogs Wee Brush Strokes, Zebra Crossing and Bengal Tiger from the canadian kennel Grandgables, that is involved in his bloodline from 75%, because from his dam's line he is a direct descendant of the famous Grandgables Onyx Obsession . If his teeth develope all right, he will become the great hope of our common breeding.

We hope that the mission to Denmark wasn't in vain and we will be able to realize future breeding brindle combinations with females Que Sera Sera Onyx Moravia and C.I.B. Lucy in the Sky Onyx Moravia:

After that she took part in the breding evaluation and she got the code 2a/LR/5-HLT (brown eye, clear red coat colour, ideal top line, excellent movement, good tempered character)

26.7.2012 - I set off a long trip to Denmark (through the whole Germany, across the sea and islands of Fehmarn, Lolland, Falster to the island of Sjælland), where my female C.I.B. Dragonlady Wassa Duo was mated with a beautiful male.

In the first half of July 2012, I found out that the existing aviary is not suitable for the Goldfinches, so I made them another one and the original one was settled by a pair of Zebra birds (Taeniopygia guttata).

9.6.2012 - Borussia von Sbaritz was excellent 1, Class winner at the Regional show in Rokycany.

I gave myself up to a little bit of hunting and fishing at the beginning of June 2012.

May 2012 meant for me the beginning of beekeeping and foundation of my first apiary.

The breeding year began with me making the garden aviary that was settled by a pair of Goldfinches (Carduelis carduelis).

26.2.2012 - Borussia von Sbaritz was excellent 1, CAJC at the Special Dachshund show in Plzeň when beating other three females.
